Building a Sustainable Future Together

Tanzania loses about 1% of its forests yearly (400,000 hectares). From 2001–2024, 85% of tree cover loss caused deforestation, hitting rural communities hardest. Forest and wetland loss erodes livelihoods, clean air, and climate stability. Species decline worsens poverty, creating a vicious cycle of environmental and economic vulnerability.
